The Lopatcong Township Board of Education has approved a school policy which requires that all students in grades 5 through 8 must wear physical education uniforms.
All 4th graders transitioning to 5th grade, and the 5th,6th and 7th grade students of this year must purchase their uniforms for next school year. So students already at the middle school may grow out of the size they are in now that means you NEED to place your order too.

The New Jersey State Health Department has recently established immunization requirements for all students entering or transferring into a New Jersey School who will be going into sixth grade in September 2015. In accordance with N.J. A.C. 8:57-4, all students entering 6th grade on or after September 1, 2015 must receive:
- one dose of Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) vaccine AND
- one dose of Meningococcal vaccine.
This means that if your child is entering sixth grade in September 2016, you will need to provide documentation that your child has received the Meningococcal and Tdap vaccines. If your child has already received the two vaccines, please provide documentation from your physician before the end of this school year.
If your child will be receiving the vaccines during the summer months, you need to send or bring in the documentation to the middle school no later than September 1, 2016. Students who do not receive the immunizations will be excluded from school. Please note that the school office is open during the summer months and information will be given to Ms. Fania.
If you have any additional questions concerning the vaccines, please contact Ms. Betsy Fania, Middle School Nurse at 908-213-2995, extension 2900.
